### How is the hourly rate calculated?

Target hourly rate = Required annual client billings ÷ Annual billable hours. Required annual client billings = 12 × (Monthly income target before personal tax + Monthly business expenses) ÷ (1 − Platform / payment fees (%) ÷ 100).

### Why does billable time matter?

Include admin, marketing and unpaid time in your working hours. Billable time is the percentage you can charge clients for.

### What does the project quote include?

Project expenses are one-off costs outside monthly expenses. Contingency applies to labour only. The same fee percentage applies to the whole quote.
