## Questions and answers from the visible page

### How much of NPS can I withdraw at retirement?

Up to 60% as a lump sum, which is tax-free. The remaining 40% minimum must be used to purchase an annuity, and annuity income is taxable as it is received.

### What extra deduction does NPS give?

An additional ₹50,000 over and above the Section 123 (formerly 80C) limit, under the provision previously numbered 80CCD(1B).

### Is NPS return guaranteed?

No. NPS is market-linked across equity, corporate debt and government securities, in the ratio your chosen scheme sets.
