Who can open an SSY account?
A parent or guardian, for a girl child below 10 years. A maximum of two accounts per family, with an exception for twins.
What is the deposit limit?
₹250 minimum and ₹1,50,000 maximum per financial year, for the first 15 years.
When does the account mature?
21 years from opening, or on the girl's marriage after 18. Partial withdrawal is allowed at 18 for education.
