Who Maintains This Site
GSTCalculators.in (Money Metrics) is built and maintained by Tools Master Hub. We are not a news outlet, a chartered accountancy firm, or a government body — we are the developer and small team behind this and sister sites like SimplePDFTools.in, and we build and maintain the calculators, formulas, and content ourselves. We do not claim a formal editorial board or outside review panel, because we do not have one; this page describes our real process, not an aspirational one.
How Figures Are Sourced
Every GST rate, income-tax slab, HRA percentage, TDS threshold, and small-savings interest rate used by our calculators is meant to live in one place — our central rate registry (rules-data.json) — with an effective date and, where one genuinely exists and we could confirm it, a link to the official source (CBIC, the Income Tax Department, CBDT, or an equivalent government or regulatory body). Calculators read from this registry rather than having numbers typed separately into each page, so a correction in one place fixes every calculator that depends on it.
Where we could not confirm an exact notification number or a working government URL, we say so in the registry rather than inventing one — you will sometimes see a general legal basis cited (for example, "CGST Act, 2017") instead of a specific section or circular number we could not verify.
Review Process
Formulas and rates are checked against official government sources at the time they are built or changed, and re-checked when we become aware of a Budget announcement, GST Council decision, or CBDT/CBIC notification that affects a figure on the site. We do not run a scheduled audit of every calculator on a fixed calendar; updates are triggered by known legal or rate changes, and by user-reported issues.
How Corrections Are Handled
When an error is found — whether by us or reported by a user — we aim to: (1) confirm the correct figure against an official or credible source, (2) update the central rate registry so every dependent calculator is fixed at once, (3) log the change on our Tax and Calculator Updates page with the date and source, and (4) update the "last verified" date shown on the affected calculator. We do not silently change a rate without a documented reason.
Reporting an Error
If something looks wrong — a rate, a formula, a translation, or anything else — please tell us. Use the "Report an error" link near a calculator's result, or email contact@toolsmasterhub.store directly with the page name and what looks off. We read every report; we cannot promise a specific turnaround time, but we do act on them.
What This Site Is Not
We are not a substitute for a chartered accountant, tax practitioner, or the official government filing portal. Our aim is an honest, formula-driven estimate — not a certified or audited figure. See our Methodology and Disclaimer pages for more on this distinction.
