Loan Eligibility

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FOIR?

Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio — the percentage of your monthly income that can go toward all loan EMIs combined. Lenders typically cap this at 40-55%.

How is maximum loan amount calculated?

Lenders work backward from your maximum affordable EMI (income × FOIR% − existing EMIs) using the standard EMI formula to determine the loan principal you can support.

Does credit score affect loan eligibility?

Yes significantly — a strong credit score (750+) can get you better rates and sometimes a higher FOIR allowance, while a weak score can reduce eligibility or increase your rate, changing the final amount.
